The Real Secret of the Gurus' Success
By Alan Goddard
Are you the world's best writer? Maybe the best website designer on the planet? Can you claim to be the best face-to-face salesperson, or the ultimate networker? Maybe you just create or invent the products the whole world has been waiting for? Are you such a gifted money manager that you can't help but get rich?
Maybe, but can you claim all of those accolades?
I thought not.
So why are you trying to do all of the above, and more?
Join the club. Most of us have tried to 'save a bit of money' by doing the stuff we're not so hot at. And we all know, deep down, that it's a big mistake. Do you want to save a few hundred pounds on designing your site and get no business from it? Do you want to do your own accounts and 'lose' thousands in fines? Maybe write your own sales copy and not sell a thing?
None of those is a good idea unless you want to be an also-ran. Using the expertise of people who are good at the things you're not good at is a much better idea.
Investing to accumulate. An old idea that never goes out of fashion.
Outsourcing is just that. Getting ahead by using other people's brains, and getting rich by other people's efforts and talents, not getting stuck on our own pride and stubbornness.
Most importantly, it's what the wealthy, successful gurus do.
And for me, wealth and success trump pride and failure every time!
